His accomplishments include calling Tom Foley the “sphincter of the House.” Herman created a small but loyal following at KSBN by being the most outrageous of all of Spokane’s political talk hosts.
Of course, just about anything is a step up from KSBN-AM, a station that didn’t even finish in the Top 19 in Spokane. Herman said this will be a “huge jump up” for him, since Salt Lake City is a far larger radio market. He’ll be hosting the station’s morning talk segment. Herman starts Monday at KCNRAM, an all-talk station that covers the Great Salt Lake basin. KSBN-AM’s Todd Herman, the bad boy of Spokane talk radio, is headed to Salt Lake City.
However, this new deal more than doubles the number of games that Cox will carry. Cox has been carrying a lineup of games on PSN since the beginning of the season. Now, however, under a new deal with KIRO-TV in Seattle, Cox Cable will carry KIRO’s package of Mariners games on that channel, beginning on July 1.Ī number of games will also be carried on Channel 24, which is Prime Sports Northwest. Channel 25 is normally Cox’s community access station (with NASA programming the rest of the time). To find these games, you’ll need to check both Channels 24 and 25 on the Cox system. Cox Cable has closed a deal to air an extensive package of Seattle Mariners games.Ĭox will air 66 Mariners games from now until the end of the season, which includes almost all of the road games and quite a few home games, too.
